Robert Half Corporate Controller in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in this high growth, international, leader in their industry. The role will be based in Ann Arbor Michigan area, where you will be leading the accounting team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including the consolidation of financial results, the preparation of reports for the consolidation process, and the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate financial results of subsidiaries, including international operations.

• Support external auditors by providing necessary information and documents.

• Ensure the establishment and verification of adequate financial controls for the holding company and subsidiaries.

• Prepare required reports for consolidation process and interface with external audit firm.

• Manage accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, employee expense reports, and cash reconciliations for the holding company.

• Respond to CFO with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.

• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

• Utilize skills in Consolidated Balance Sheet, Consolidated Financial Statements, Corporate Consolidation, Analyze Financial Statements, Monthly Bank Reconciliation, Audit Compliance.

• Bring a proven background in GAAP accounting to the role.

Requirements • Proficient in Consolidated Balance Sheet preparation and interpretation

• Ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements

• Skilled in Corporate Consolidation processes

• Proficiency in analyzing Financial Statements for strategic decision making

• Experience in performing Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Knowledge and experience in Audit Compliance

• Must have a strong background in Research & Development industry

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a corporate setting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic thinker

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Must have a strong ethical code and respect for confidentiality.
