Description
Provide technical support and guidance for water treatment; ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Acts as the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for the site. Accountable for the operation and maintenance of the facility and are responsible for understanding the requirements of the applicable permits, laws and regulations.
Analyzes data for compliance with regulatory requirements and makes operational guidelines and recommended changes as appropriate.
Trains staff on processes, job tasks, equipment, tests and other activities as necessary
Assists in the installation, operation and maintenance of monitoring instruments and testing equipment. Makes recommendations for improvements as necessary.
Prepares and maintains detailed records and files of test data.
May provide leadership to technicians as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED. Five (5) years’ experience in environmental monitoring, sampling and reporting as an Environmental technician or in a closely related role.
At least two (2) years of experience in water treatment plant operations, water distribution systems and related facilities.
Colorado Certified Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) or similar qualification in another State at or above the following levels:
Industrial Wastewater Treatment Class C
Water Treatment Class C
Water Distribution Class 1
Domestic Wastewater Treatment Class C
Domestic Wastewater Collection Class 1
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Do you have a Colorado Certified Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) or have the ability to achieve them within 1 year of employment
Criteria/Conditions:
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $72,000-$98,000/Annually . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
