Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required
Work Experiences:
6+ years of related work experience required
Experience in retail environment preferred
Experience with merchandise financial and localized assortment planning process required
Skills:
Strong analytical skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
Excellent interpersonal written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
Maintain the customer’s perspective as a driving force behind business decisions and activities
Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized
Ability to find and maximize business opportunities for growth and profitability from multiple sources
Effective time management skills to support multiple projects and effectively manage a large volume of work
Responds positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems
Ability to make decisions and choose a course of action or develop solutions based on facts, constraints, and probable consequences
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStrategy, SAS Merchandise Planning (or equivalent planning software experience preferred)
Responsibilities:
Lead in Clustering processes, including but not limited to maintaining documentation and training content
Lead the process to create and maintain store clusters
Lead the creation of ad hoc reports and analysis for clustering as requested
Mentor team members across multiple levels to effectively cluster for localized assortment planning
Assist Category Management Teams to achieve sales, profit, and inventory related objectives through efficient Clustering planning and analysis
Ensure consistent, accurate planning and analysis procedures are utilized throughout the Clustering and localized assortment planning process
Collaborate with Category Management team to derive appropriate Consumer Categories and Store Traits that drive the business
Maintain company-wide decisions and best practices as it pertains to Consumer Categories and Store Traits
Assist with maintaining regionally relevant trends
Guide system enhancements and implementations relating to Clustering and Assortment planning and analysis
Maintain consistent and advanced knowledge of the SAS Merchandise Planning system, Size Optimization, Clustering, MicroStrategy reporting
Observe industry trends to apply best-in-class practices to Academy
Evaluate proposed actions and timelines against the organizational mission and values
Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
Regular attendance required
Ability to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary
