About the role

As an Infrastructure Technical Architect, you will be working directly with our clients and will be the go-to person for both our programme delivery teams and the client infrastructure team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports our PLM solutions.

Area of Responsibility

  • Ownership of the infrastructure delivery - agile to change and managing risk across implementation whilst delivering at pace direct with the client.

  • Configuration of the PLM system to meet the specific needs of the organization.

  • Being a trusted advisor to the client and user groups – providing expertise, consensus and guidance which will suit their needs throughout programme delivery and in-service support.

  • Building trust, respect and effective relationships with the client and user groups – to understand and alleviate problems, manage expectations, and enable progressive change and implementation throughout programme delivery.

  • Delivering an agile programme of requirements – providing guidance and direction to both client and internal architectural/implementation/programme teams

  • Designing and delivering workshops – utilising the opportunity to engage in technology adoption and understanding the client needs.

  • Ability to communicate between technology and business needs and across a multi-disciplined of technical and non-technical stakeholders, such as users, clients, technical, programme and sales teams.

  • Acting as part of a Consulting Services team, work productively with Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • Infrastructure industry experience: Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, Industrial Machinery & Heavy Equipment, CP&R, Medical Devices, Marine

  • Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management): A deep understanding of PLM concepts, frameworks, and best practices is essential. This includes knowledge of product data management, change management, configuration management, and collaboration tools.

  • Infrastructure Design and Planning: Expertise in designing scalable and high-performance infrastructure solutions for a SaaS-based PLM system. This includes knowledge of cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.

  • Experience in the configuration of PLM systems in line with internal or external requirements.

  • System Integration: Ability to integrate the PLM system with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and CAD/CAM tools. This requires knowledge of integration patterns, middleware technologies, and data synchronization methods.

  • Working with multi-functional agile teams from service delivery, design, product development and implementation.

  • Technical Documentation and Communication: Strong documentation skills to create detailed technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Effective communication skills are also essential to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
