Who will you be working with?

Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, is looking for a skilled Aerodynamics Engineer to join our dynamic and industry leading team. We design, manufacture, and test industrial turbochargers for the power generation, marine, and rail traction industries.

Role: Aerodynamics Engineer

Salary: £Competitive

Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?

Using your knowledge of turbomachinery, particularly turbocharger components, you will work closely with colleagues responsible for mechanical analysis and be able to adapt your design with their engineering input.

What will your typical day look like?

• Lead Engineering projects and interact with customers to meet strict deadlines for the introduction of new turbocharger products or upgrades.

• Aerodynamic design and CFD analysis of centrifugal compressors, axial and radial inflow turbines including their surrounding casings is required.

• Translation of customer engine requirements into the aerodynamic design of turbocharger components.

What do we want to know about you?

• Mechanical Engineering Degree, preferably a focus on turbomachinery.

• Proficient in the use of CFD tools for turbomachinery applications.

• Competent in aerodynamic design of turbomachinery components.

• Basic understanding of mechanical issues that influence the life of turbomachinery components.

• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues, and self-motivated to deliver engineering tasks on time.

• Good quality of report writing and presentation skills.
