Amazon Legal Assistant- International, Consumer Exports and Expansion Legal in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Amazon International Legal team supporting Amazon’s cross-border and expansion programs

We are looking for a smart, motivated, collaborative and customer-obsessed legal assistant to support various dynamic and growing cross border consumer businesses. You will be a key member of our organization, helping us to support the Amazon’s Exports and Expansion businesses. You will provide front line support for our team. Tasks will vary, but may include assistance in tracking and responding to international regulators, coordination of contract approvals, signatures and filing, creation and maintenance of internal legal- and business-facing guidance, trainings, and other resources and self-help tools, identification and implementation of mechanisms to improve and simplify our processes, and general administrative support (e.g., budgeting tracking, helping with presentations and trainings, meeting coordination, organizing travel arrangements, and creating and submitting expense reports). You will be a primary “go to” for the team across a range of issues and act as a linchpin to help keep the team running smoothly and in sync with the rest of the Legal Department.

We are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team and take on more responsibility as they grow. The successful candidate will be eager to learn how to use the various systems and tools used by the legal department, possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly and with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency, take effective action without having to know the total picture, and solve a broad range of problems impacting the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional or military experience

  • 2+ years of administrative assistant experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks

  • Experience in a technology company or other legal experience

  • BS/BA degree

  • Client-service oriented with ability to anticipate team’s needs and strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

  • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, incl. with international colleagues and navigating global time zones

  • Creative problem-solver

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm for teamwork, and a “can do” attitude

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $38,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $92,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
