Job Details

The Manager, HR Analytics and Reporting leads a team of Business Intelligence Report Developers, Architects and Analysts that will develop and implement a process to get the right data to the right people. Reporting to the Senior Director, Fleet HR Operations, this role will be responsible for advancing the delivery of meaningful HR analytics in support of HR and business objectives. This will include HR reporting services and tools, detailed statistical analysis to identify actionable insights and building predictive models. The insights from this function will be used to drive HR investments and talent management decisions and assess HR program effectiveness. This position will create and analyze large data sets of internal and external data and communicate the results across the organization in a way that informs and drives action.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team comprised of Analysts, Data Architects, and Business Intelligence developers

  • Conceptualizing, developing and delivering on strategic roadmap for the Workforce Analytics team, ensuring delivery of the analytical and support needs of the customer, while ensuring the team can effectively support future reports, analytics, and predictive modeling aligned to the HR Strategic Plan.

  • Working with Sr. Director, Fleet HR Operations and Sr. Vice President, Fleet Human Resources in management of the team’s workload based upon the business customer’s priorities

  • Provide management support to the HR function in the areas of people metrics, reporting and advanced and predictive analytics.

  • Support the HR leadership team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, processes or programs.

  • Research industry best practices, benchmarks and tools to incorporate into analytics practices as well as implement said practices. Analyze organizational data to identify potential, existing or future business needs and make recommendation on how the data may influence HR strategy.

  • Provide routine scorecard tracking, metrics and trending analysis for key HR leaders in conjunction with annual goals and objectives.

  • Actively deliver to the growth of the analytics team by identifying work opportunities

  • Lead the change management around the uptake of new tools, reports and insights

  • Provide effective capacity planning, staffing projects originating from and servicing a diverse client base, ensuring capacity is focused upon the highest priority and business value, escalating any capacity constraints

  • Ensure balanced allocation to all efforts, allowing time for projects for infrastructure upkeep, progress on long-term roadmap items and addressing data gaps and solution’s innovation

  • Identify the intelligence needs and KPIs needed to facilitate decision-making of each department through one-on-one communication with key management

  • Creates compelling, executive ready presentations and explain analytic summaries Develop cost-effective, enterprise-wide data retrieval, collection, reporting and analysis processes and solutions

  • Facilitate the delivery of timely performance reporting and analysis to senior management

  • Perform ad-hoc market research and analysis

  • Develop an understanding of each department’s role within the company; maintain an advanced knowledge of their needs

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in a business setting engaged in and/or managing strategic projects

  • Experience in business analytics required

  • Experience successfully managing to completion complex analytical and technology projects involving multiple work streams.

  • Experience with MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) is preferred

  • Prior of experience with SQL and Relational Databases and experience working with transactional data reporting.

  • Ability to communicate and work with both technical and non-technical team members

  • Knowledge in MS Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint required

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information to senior management in a clear, concise and professional manner

  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality

  • Superior oral and written communication skills as well as analytical, creative and results-oriented

  • Analytical and detail oriented in all work activities/tasks, with a strategic perspective to enable the translation of metrics into trends, identification of improvement opportunities and root cause

  • Knowledge of statistical tools such as SAS, SQL or similar tools.

  • Ability to problem-solve.

  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment.

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations
