Role overview:
The EPA will be responsible for assisting software, hardware and systems engineers with administrative, documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. Individuals must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing the wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Assignments typically include:
Preliminary document formatting and preparation utilising computing resources with a variety of applications
Performs as primary engineering support focal point for inquiries and problem resolution during product development
Provides support to the release and revision phases of the engineering development cycle
Performs project non-technical duties
Serves as process and tool expert for engineering design teams
Ordering and kitting of parts, coordinating builds, managing short lead time requests, creating and managing parts tracking spreadsheets, working with purchasing to obtain quotes and lead times, coordinating shipments
Must possess ability to coordinate and lead activities as well as strong organisation and analytical skills
Primary responsibilities:
Edits format of software/hardware/systems documentation. Verifies change requests are in the proper state and implements into documentation. Performs data conversion using various application media for software development or project file maintenance
Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generate reports as required
Interfaces with engineers and engineering managers to create/edit documentation
Ensures compliance with the Third-Party Intellectual Property process
Collects metrics and supports the preparation of presentation materials for analysis
Works with Engineering to train on processes and tools. Identifies opportunities for continuous process improvements
Ordering and tracking parts
BOM creation
Facilitating document reviews
Releasing drawings/documents, tracking and ordering COTS parts and CFE/GFE
Shipping as required, and other general support as requested
Edits format of required documentation
Interfaces with technicians, engineers and engineering managers to create/edit documentation
Supports the development and maintenance of site, department and project information portals
Assists in tracking action items and tasks, risk management tools, and tasks in the change management tools
Supports the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives and bid reviews
Acts as primary focal and liaison for program support, across engineering and other departments
Networks with both internal and external personnel at multiple levels
Generally works on assignments which are given by the engineering teams
Works with engineering teams to effectively resolve issues
Prepares presentations
Coordinates the interaction of project/program team and support functions to communicate schedule and status
Often facilitates internal and/or external meetings
Other general support as requested
Skills and experience:
Essential
Australian citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance (security clearance is required)
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Highly detail oriented
Ability to work on teams in a collaborative environment
Ability to receive work from peers, engineers and managers
Quick learner
Able to retain information quickly
Self-starter and proposals that are clearly and concisely written.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word
Strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as O365
Outlook

Experience using JIRA
Experience developing and managing Confluence spaces
Experience using Jama
Experience using PLM and/or ERP systems
