We are looking for a Director of Field Sales Development based out of our corporate office in Tacoma, WA (with travel up to 50%). What's in it for you? As the Director of Field Sales Development, you will work with Sales Leadership to serve as a hands-on leader responsible for driving the educational and developmental initiatives of our sales team. You'll provide comprehensive field-based sales support and mentorship, execute Supply Savings Guarantee (SSG) education programs, and train and develop Account Managers/Field Sales Associates and Regional Sales Managers. This role will also involve stepping in for territory or regional absences to ensure uninterrupted sales operations. This role requires a passion for helping others succeed, strong problem-solving abilities, and a knack for mentoring and encouraging others towards achieving sales excellence. This role requires up to 50% travel. What success looks like... COMMUNICATION (SALES): You communicate exceptionally well with branch associates, Burkhart clients, and others, support collaboration between sales and service, and you keep everyone in the loop. CO-TRAVEL: You co-travel when available and when applicable with Sales Account Managers, Equipment Specialists, Service Technicians, manufacturer partners, and regional leadership. EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT EXPERIENCE: You go above and beyond in order to provide an Exceptional Client Experience. Your communication and customer service skills are effective, respectful and consistently of the highest quality. You demonstrate professionalism while building and maintaining strong relationships. You are an active, engaged, collaborative, and positive teammate/leader with both internal and external customers. EXPERTISE: Your internal and external clients view you as a product expert and problem resolution resource - you coordinate professionally among departments and external clients to find innovative solutions to business challenges and ensure follow-through and resolution. Has a strategic, long-term outlook. Willingness to delegate, hold their peers and teams accountable, and coach to develop their capabilities. What you'll need... Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field. 10 years of experience in a sales leadership role with proven success in leading & coaching a team to meet sales goals. Demonstrated ability to achieve and manage sales growth in a competitive selling environment. The associate must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to travel by car and plane to meetings and events, sometimes at short notice, and sometimes for extended periods of time. Travel of up to 50% of time to branch offices, client offices, manufacture locations, and Burkhart meetings/events is required. Additional Education and/or Experience That Would be Helpful, but not Required, for Success in This Role: Experience with dental or medical equipment service, supplies, and sales organization. MBA or Master's degree. Salary Info: The base salary will be $125k - $150k with a bonus ranging from $5k
